Known in his motherland as the godfather of dance music, DJ Kefir has spent the past 20 years smashing dance floors across Eastern Europe, as well as showcasing the latest sounds of the industry to millions with his resident radio show “Record Club” on Russia’s No 1 dance music station, Radio Record!

Haling from the beautiful city of St. Petersburg, KEFIR began his career in the mid 90’s as a hip hop DJ and went on to become Russia’s DMC DJ scratch champion in 1998. On his return from competing in the DMC World DJ Championships, Kefir was on the search for a new flavour and this is when he found his love & passion for the euphoric and uplifting sounds of dance music.

As a respected turntablist with a new direction, KEFIR became a pioneer of this new electronic sound in the country. Splicing and dicing tracks together with his unique skills to bring about the now fashionable "quick mix" technique to the nation. With this legacy, KEFIR has gone on to become a household name, every year being ranked highly in Russia’s Top 100 DJ’s.

With a jam packed schedule of clubs, festivals, radio work and VIP events, KEFIR is one of Russia's most sort-after DJs. Playing across the region to crowds of up to 50,000 people and sharing the stage with legends such as "Moby", "Tiesto", "Armin Van Buuren", "David Guetta" and “Carl Cox”.

Over the years he has produced countless compilation CD’s, as well as original tracks, remixes, and bootlegs. Further afield has seen him play in other parts of Europe and the land of the rising sun, Japan. Where he returns yearly to tour the country and work on collaboration projects with up and coming artists.
